‘3 straight wins over LG’ KIA, NC now 8-2, with only 2 games separating top 2-5…AG’s departure now a realistic factor, opening up epic remaining race

Kia Tigers with a big batting lineup. The momentum is amazing.

When their unstoppable nine-game winning streak came to a halt, it looked like they were suffering from a full-blown streak hangover. The volcanic batting lineup lost two straight games against Doosan on the 7th and LG on the 8th, scoring just two runs. The batting lineup was unreliable, but they are back in rebound mode.

They swept the Gwangju doubleheader against LG on the 9th with a whopping 19 runs, and then ended the week with an 8-7 victory over LG on the 10th to end the week with three straight wins over LG.

He’s now 8-2 in his last 10 games. Including their nine-game winning streak, they are 12-2 in their last 14 games.

Their unstoppable streak has pushed their win-loss margin to +8 and moved them up to fourth place, but it’s weird.

The gap between them and the third-place NC Dinos isn’t getting any smaller. Only 1.5 games separate them. They’re close, but not quite there.

It’s not as loud as KIA, but NC has been quietly racking up wins as well. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games, the same as KIA, and 11-3 in their last 14 games, just one game behind.

One team that has been a victim of the two teams’ parallel surges is SSG Landers.

The absolute runners-up, who were battling with LG for the lead throughout the first half of the season, have fallen apart. They dropped to fifth place after going 16-1-1 in the second half. Since September, they have gone 2-1-1 and 6-6, and their downward trend is deepening.

After NC, they also lost to KIA. They now have to worry about staying in the top five. They have three games in hand over sixth-place Doosan.

There is another team with a cold back.

KT Wiz went on an unstoppable run of 26 wins and 6 losses during the heat wave in July and August, climbing to second place. The magic was broken in September. In nine games in September, they won two, drew one, and lost six. A stark contrast to their 19-4 record in August.

KT used to look up at LG, but now they have to look down.

Third-place NC, which finished its seven-game midweek series against bottom-place Kiwoom and Lotte with a 6-1 record, is within half a game. Fourth-place KIA and fifth-place SSG are also just two games back. KT, NC, KIA, and SSG are separated by just two games for second through fifth place.

With 23 days until the Asian Games call-up date, it’s all about accumulating wins in the remaining two weeks. The top of the standings could change drastically depending on the Asian Games draw. Leader LG, which is 5.5 games ahead of second place, could also be in danger depending on the results of the next two weeks.메이저사이트

LG will be without closer Ko Woo-seok, bullpen nuke Jung Woo-young and third baseman Moon Bo-kyung. KT will be without bullpen aces Park Young-hyun and Kang Baek-ho, while NC will be without the returning Koo Chang-mo, shortstop Kim Joo-won, and catcher Kim Hyung-joon. KIA will be without left-handed starter Lee Yi-ri, left-handed reliever Choi Ji-min and first baseman/outfielder Choi Won-jun. SSG will be without shortstop Park Sung-hwan and outfielder Choi Ji-hoon. Sixth-ranked Doosan will be without homegrown ace Kwak Bin.

The depth gap they leave behind will be a key factor in the final battle for the top spot.
