Professional volleyball women’s championship team Korea Expressway Corporation filled the void of main middle blocker Jeong Dae-young, who left the team with a clever move in the free agency (FA) market.
Defending champion Korea Expressway Corporation gave setter Lee Go-eun and the 2023-2024 season rookie draft 2nd round nomination right to Pepper Savings Bank on the 2nd, and instead made a trade with middle blocker Choi Ga-eun to receive the 2023-2024 season rookie draft 1st round nomination right.
Lee Go-eun, who was handed over to Pepper by the Korea Expressway Corporation, was a card that was not expected in the first place.
When wing spiker Park Jung-ah, who won the championship, signed an FA contract with Pepper, the Korea Expressway Corporation had to choose a compensation player. In this situation, Pepper did not tie Lee Go-eun, the main setter, as a protection player. The Korea Expressway Corporation nominated Lee Go-eun as a compensation player without hesitation.
Pepper, who became desperate, had to take Lee Go-eun back, and in the process, he had to risk bleeding. Instead of taking Lee Go-eun back, Pepper gave the right to pick the first round of the 2023-2024 season rookie draft along with the main middle blocker Choi Ga-eun to the road construction company.
Through this transaction, the Korea Expressway Corporation will be able to fill the void left by Jeong Dae-young. Dae-Young Jeong, who kept the center until the championship last season, left for GS Caltex through an FA contract, and the road construction was in a situation where it had to fill the void. Choi Ga-eun is a 22-year-old young middle blocker who is growing up and is a suitable replacement for veteran Jeong Dae-young.
A bigger benefit obtained by the road construction is the right to pick the first round of the 2023-2024 season rookie draft. Since Pepper finished at the bottom last season, the road construction is highly likely to secure the first pick in the first round of the rookie draft in October.ㅋㅋㅋ벳
In the upcoming rookie draft, Kim Se-bin (Han Bom-go), who is considered the biggest player, is expected to appear. Kim Se-bin is Hanbom High School’s main middle blocker who won 5 crowns in the national championships last year. Ace Kim Se-bin, who led the championship, was also selected as the best player in the girls’ high school division of the 2023 Spring National Middle and High Volleyball Federation, which ended in March.
Sebin Kim was selected for both the U18 and U20 national teams and was selected as the best middle blocker at the Asian Women’s U18 Volleyball Championships.
Kim Se-bin inherited his physical condition and volleyball sense from his parents. Kim Se-bin’s father is Kim Chul-soo, a former director of Korea Electric Power Corporation, and his mother is Kim Nam-soon, an immovable light who was active in Korea-Japan Synthetic Fiber in the 1990s.
