Chelsea seek to sign Fernandes for highest EPL transfer fee ever

The chances of success are uncertain. This is because Benfica’s official position has not come out a day before the European transfer market deadline, and manager Roger Schmidt is rather complaining that “Chelsea is trying to shake Fernandez’s mind. Chelsea’s approach will be useless.”
But Fernandes could be the best signing Chelsea can target. Fernandez, who paid a transfer fee of 10 million pounds (15.2 billion won) when he moved from Argentinian River Plate to Benfica last year, took off as a world-class player through last year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
