‘Giant’s disease’ basketball star Kim Young-hee, dies while fighting… at the age of 60

Kim Young-hee, a silver medalist in women’s basketball at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, passed away on the 31st of last month due to deteriorating health while fighting an illness. She is 60 years old.

Kim Young-hee, who graduated from Soongui Girls’ High School in Seoul, is a tall 200 cm center as a female athlete. She participated in the 1982 New Delhi Asian Games and the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics as a national team member, and won the Olympic silver medal and the White Horse of the Sports Medal.
