Gwangju, which created a ‘sensation’, should department 1 erase the suspicion?

Gwangju FC, which was viewed with suspicion last year, wrote a new history in the K League 2. The championship was confirmed with the most games left (4 games).

Ahead of the 2022 season, Gwangju was not a highly anticipated team. Coach Lee Jeong-hyo, who appeared at the opening media day at the time, declared, “I will play dirty soccer.” It was because I felt the gaze of ignoring Gwangju.

Director Lee Jeong-hyo’s Gwangju team drew suspicion with its skills. Coach Lee successfully demonstrated bold tactics, such as active participation in the build-up of forward strikers, zero-top, and overlapping of center backs. Gwangju, which brought boldness and novelty, caught the two rabbits of sexuality and fun.

The replacement card was also used very actively. Coach Lee Jeong-hyo often made bold choices, such as changing three players at once after the first half. It’s not just about changing the atmosphere or the outcome of the game. It was to achieve the growth of the team while narrowing the gap between the starting and non-maintaining players.

Gwangju, which has developed further, is now starting the K-League 1 challenge. Usually, teams promoted from K-League 2 to Division 1 are referred to as ‘relegation candidates’. But Gwangju is different. It is an atmosphere that is recognized for the sensation caused in K-League 2.

Nevertheless, coach Lee Jeong-hyo, who went to the 2023 season K-League winter battery training media camp, said, “Now they say it’s a test bed. I am worried that I will be demoted (from those around me)” and “My country is stingy with praise. I praise our players a lot. I think it will change even a little if I change first,” he said about the suspicious gaze.  바카라

It is the will to change the still unchanging perspective to ‘self-soccer’. The team promoted to K-League 1 is busy playing soccer with the goal of remaining. First of all, you have to survive the first part to be able to promise the next one. However, coach Lee Jung-hyo is determined to stick to the active yet aggressive soccer that was introduced in the K-League 2.

Manager Lee Jeong-hyo said, “I defended against Ulsan Hyundai, Jeonbuk Hyundai, and Suwon Samsung, but if the result is bad, I think it will be more unfair. If you try with courage and taste failure, you will find a way to (break through),” he said. “I told the players to challenge with courage. No matter what difficulties we face, we will be aggressive and go in the direction we pursued in K-League 2.”

Soccer with an attacking concept is not just about getting results and fun. Director Lee Jung-hyo wants to make the careers of his students shine. “My goal (this season) is to have many of our players selected for the national team,” said coach Lee, who said, “The players have grown while winning.”
