The city believes that the number of applications for participation has increased as it has been held normally for the first time in four years since Corona 19, and it is possible to run in the spring energy in Gyeongju, which is widely known as a tourist destination.

One reason is that the ‘Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Marathon’ was selected as one of the 100 K-culture tourism events selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in celebration of the ‘2023-2024 Visit Korea Year’.

The city and body sports association recruit 12,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis by March 10th.

Starting from this year, to alleviate traffic congestion, only the half course, 10km, and 5km sections will be operated, excluding the full course section.
