Im Seong-jae, 8 under par on the third day of Sentry TOC

Lim Seong-jae (25) took the lead by reducing 8 strokes at the Sentry Tournament of Champions (TOC) Moving Day, a special tournament on the PGA Tour.

On the 8th (Korean time), in the 3rd round of Kapalua Resort Plantation Course (par 73, 7596 yards) in Maui, Hawaii, USA, Lim Seong-jae combined 6 birdies with an eagle and hit 8 under par 65, recording an interim total of 16 under par 203 strokes. At 8:20, he finished in a tie for 4th place, 4 strokes behind leader Colin Morikawa (USA).

Lim Seong-jae, who shot a 7-under-par 66 on the first day and dropped to 18th by reducing one stroke in the second round and hitting a 72, performed flawless play without a bogey that day.

After putting the ball on the green twice on the par-5 5th hole, he made an eagle putt from 21 meters away and added a birdie on the 6th hole to rise to the top. In the second half, he started with a birdie on the 12th hole and added three consecutive birdies on the 14th hole 메이저놀이터. In the last par 5 hole, I added a birdie after sending it to the hole 2 meters from the outside of the green.

Lim Seong-jae, who participated in this tournament for three consecutive years, scored 67.38 strokes in average strokes in the tournament, ranking second in history. He finished in a tie for 5th in his first appearance in 2021 and tied for 8th last year. Lim Seong-jae’s shot sense rose to the point where he finished second in the FedEx Cup playoffs last season.

This tournament, in which 38 players are competing, has a strong character of a king-of-the-king match between champions from the previous year. The best players showed amazing performances. Although the history is 71 years old, the average lowest stroke of the tournament is 67.25 strokes recorded in the 8th round by Matt Jones (Australia), who participated only twice until 2015 and last year.

Since Jones did not play this year, there is a possibility that Seong-jae Lim will break the record for the lowest average hit, depending on the number of strokes recorded on the last day.

JTBC Golf and JTBC Golf & Sports will broadcast live until the last round.
