Jin Young Ko reclaims women’s golf world No. 1 ranking for the first time in seven months
For the first time in seven months, Jin Young Ko has regained the No. 1 ranking in women’s golf.
After recently winning the Founders Cup on the United States Women’s Golf (LPGA) Tour, Ko moved from second to first in the world rankings. With 8.26 ranking points, she pushed Nelly Koda (USA), who had 8.25, into second place. It’s been seven months since Ko returned to the top of the world rankings since late October last year.
Ko previously held the world No. 1 ranking for a whopping 146 weeks from April 2019. After a brief lull, she has bounced back with two wins on the LPGA Tour this year.안전놀이터
Meanwhile, Nelly Koda has withdrawn from the LPGA Tour’s Mizuho Classic next month. She announced on social media that she has decided to withdraw due to back pain.
