PGA Championship winner Koepka tied for 28th after first day of LIV’s seventh tournament
Brooks Koepka (USA), who became the first player to lift a major championship trophy while playing in the Saudi Arabian capital-backed LIV Golf League, finished in a tie for second place on the first day of back-to-back LIV events.
Koepka traded two birdies for two bogeys in the first round of the seventh event of the LIV Golf League’s 2023 season ($25 million purse) at Trump National Golf Club (par-72) in Sterling, Virginia, USA, on Sunday and is tied for 28th place with an even-par 72.
Koepka came into the event on the heels of his top finish at the PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y., on Aug. 22.
At the PGA Championship, Koepka won by two strokes over Viktor Hovland (NOR) and Scottie Schauffler (USA), earning his fifth major title and becoming the first LIV player to win a major.안전놀이터
