South Korea defeats Czech Republic 14-1 in World Youth Baseball Championship

By Sung-dae Moon The Korean National Under-18 Baseball Team has recorded its first win at the 31st World Youth Baseball Championship.
The team defeated the Czech Republic 14-1 in the second game of the tournament’s preliminary round in Taichung, Taiwan, on Wednesday (Sept. 3).
After being swept in their first game against Chinese Taipei on Feb. 2, South Korea evened their record at 1-1 with a win over the Czech Republic.메이저사이트
Korea opened the scoring in the first inning with a walk and stolen base by Jung Ahn-seok, followed by an infield single by Yeo Dong-gun and a single to left by Park Ji-hwan. Lee then capitalized on an infield single and an error to make it 2-0.
After adding a run in the third, Korea scored a run in the fourth on Lee Yul-yeh’s double, Yeon Jun-won’s bunt single and Lee Chung-heon’s sacrifice fly, and then added two more runs on consecutive singles by Jung Ahn-seok, Yeo Dong-gun and Park Ji-hwan to put the game out of reach.
Korea took a 14-0 lead into the seventh inning.
The Czech Republic could only manage one run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
