Tampa Bay Franco accused of inappropriate relationship with minor…Dominican共 investigation launched
By Sangchul Lee = The government of the Dominican Republic has opened an investigation into Wander Franco, 22, of the Tampa Bay Rays, for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a minor. Tampa Bay placed Franco on the restricted list and removed him from the organization.
According to ESPN and other local media outlets, the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Justice said on Friday that it is conducting an investigation into Franco.
On Nov. 14, social media outlets posted allegations of Franco’s inappropriate relationship with a minor. While Tampa Bay and Major League Baseball (MLB) are aware of the allegations, Franco’s home country’s Ministry of Justice has also opened an investigation.
The Rays did not play Franco on Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he did not travel with the team on a six-game road trip from Sept. 15-21 against the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Angels.
The Associated Press reported, “Tampa Bay placed Franco on the restricted list. Franco will miss at least six games while the MLB office conducts an investigation.”바카라사이트
