He accumulated a whopping 11 victories on the Korean Tour. He won 3 wins in 2007, 1 win in 2010, 2 wins in 2011 and 1 win in 2013 before enlisting in the military. Kang Kyung-nam tied for 7th in the domestic most wins ranking with Choi Yun-soo and Park Sang-hyun, and the accumulated prize money was 2nd (3,875,862,469 won) following Park Sang-hyun (4,386,566,753 won).
Kang Kyung-nam celebrated the 20th anniversary of his Korean Tour debut this year. Kang Gyeong-nam also tightens the laces of his golf shoes in the United States. He invests 4 hours in putt practice in the morning and 2-3 hours in shot training such as driver and iron in the afternoon. He does four practice rounds a week to keep up with his real-world feel. Kang Kyung-nam’s accuracy of his iron shot was outstanding enough to record a green hit rate of 73.40% (21st place) last year. However, the average number of putts was 1.82 (53rd), which was disappointing. There were times when he missed a birdie putt at a crucial moment.
